Jolanta Durno works as a Composer, Singer & Voice-Over
Artist, and is a published Author & Poet.
She was involved in Children's Theatre for seventeen years
- scripting, singing, recording & performing. She
co-produced & directed the stage show
"Sarafina 1" in Alexandra Township (1993), and
also scripted & presented for "Buya" - SABC
TV (1995). Jolanta has been
involved in numerous folk-rock concerts, has written
& recorded over 90 children's songs, and has released
two music albums: a Celtic-folk-rock album "Everlasting
Day", and a children's album, "Woodworks on
the Move".
Jolanta has worked on various Voice Over advertising
campaigns, including for Cell C, Microsoft, MNET, MTN,
702, SABC & Volvo. She is also a qualified Protools
Sound Engineer – ASE, SABC (2010).
In 2009 Jolanta composed & co-wrote
"The Beautiful Game!" with Poet & Praise
Singer, Eric Begala. This song has been released on
"Shapa Bafana Shapa", Official SA Soccer Team
Music Album, World Cup 2010, for which her husband,
James Durno, did the Cover Artwork.
She is currently collaborating with various artists
and bands, including Obita, Karin Jerg and "One
Mighty Atom", while working on her next music album.
